following is a link to an article about Churches in Berne, Albany, New York.  It explains why a family may have
children christened in different places, and even different religions (Lutheran or Dutch Reformed), while the
family was supposedly living in Berne.  I have not found any Methodist or Congregational Church records,
which is possibly where the Butterfield's and Ebert's may have worshiped.

Happy New Year

  1. Hi, Martin Ebert was my Great-Great-Great Grandfather. If you have additional information, please don't hesitate to share. It's exciting to realize I had a relative who fought for the US in the War of 1812 - I drive along the St. Lawrence Seaway everyday to-and-from work, now it's personal!
