Ebert Ebbert Evert Everts Everse

While trying to trace the John Ebert family of Berne, Albany, New York, I have come across some records that may belong to this family.  However, the name is not spelled Ebert, it is Everts, and other variant spellings.  These records, mostly church records, but a few military, have a John Everts of Albany.  There is a marriage of a John Evert and a Nency(sic) Howard:

There is also a Revolutionary War record for a John Everse of Albany County, New York.  the next time I am at the Family History Centre I will look on fold3.com (formerly Footnote.com) for this record.

As I have not found a John Evert family in the 1790 US census for Albany County, New York, I think there is at least a possibility this is our Ebert family.  I have found christenings for 4 children, but of course not for our Martin or Catherine(married Daniel Butterfield).  The naming pattern for the children would fit the names of the grandparents.  Still a work in progress with no proof as yet.
